Operation Falcon: 59 Criminal Surveillance Cameras Dismantled in Naucalpan

The joint work between the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico, the National Guard, the Secretariat of Security of the State of Mexico, and the Municipal Police of Naucalpan has yielded results by detecting and removing 59 surveillance cameras installed by criminal groups on municipal public infrastructure.

As part of the coordinated operation called Halcón, actions were carried out in several communities with the aim of conducting preventive patrols and random inspections to deter illegal behavior and prevent high-impact crimes such as thefts, homicides, and other illicit acts. These cameras, which were located on light poles, telephone poles, and trees, had no owners and were being used by criminals to monitor their surroundings and commit crimes.

The cameras were removed and turned over to the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico for the corresponding investigations. The FGJEM stated that the investigative efforts allowed for the dismantling of a surveillance circuit used by criminal groups in Naucalpan.

The government of Naucalpan reaffirmed its commitment to the safety of its residents by carrying out actions like this joint operation, also highlighting the importance of coordination among different security and justice procurement entities. This positive result is the fruit of the joint efforts of state and municipal authorities to combat crime and protect citizens.
